south_of_sulu_thumbnail_websiteRichard Robinson over at The Broken Bullhorn posts a write-up and review of our title, South of Sulu by George F. Worts. South of Sulu collects the first five adventures of South Seas adventurer Singapore Sammy Shay. You can read Richard's review here.  Thanks Richard!

George F. Worts was a highly successful and popular writer during the late 20s and 30s. With rare exception, nearly all of Worts writings for the pulp magazines appeared in the marquee titles Argosy, Blue Book, Munsey's and Short Stories. He simultaneously sold to Collier's and the Saturday Evening Post, given indication that his writing skills were a notch above many of his contemporaries in the pulps.

You can read a short autobiographical sketch by Worts accompanied with a photo of him here.

We have a second title available  by Worts as well, Peter the Brazen, reprinting the adventures of Peter Moore.

Black Dog Books will be releasing a second volume of Singapore Sammy stories, The Python Pit in 2011.
